Volunteer
Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer in the Carroll County Public Schools! In your role as a volunteer, you will be called upon to assist teachers and staff with the day-to-day activities involved in providing a balanced education for children. You will be part of an important team striving to ensure that each and every on of our students succeeds.
Before you can volunteer in any Carroll County Public School, you must first attend annual training. You must complete training AT LEAST SEVEN DAYS before you wish to volunteer. AND REMEMBER, EVERY YEAR YOU MUST RENEW YOUR VOLUNTEER ELIGIBILITY BY ATTENDING TRAINING. To obtain scheduled volunteer training dates, and for additional information on volunteer training, contact Kris Barker at krisbarker@comcast.net.
In addition to the many in school volunteers, Mt. Airy Elementary School realizes that a great deal of "volunteering" takes place outside the walls of MAES. (PTA committee work, baking cookies, cutting out items for a teacher.... ) Since our school reports to the county Board of Education the many hours of volunteer work completed for the benefit of MAES, we want to make sure we don't "loose" those out-of-school volunteer hours. Toward that effort, we have provided a form to record your hours. Click HERE to view and print out the form, and return the completed form at the end of the school year so that we may include your hours in our report to the Board of Education.
Again THANKS so much for helping our school be the best it can be for our wonderful children!

Just a Reminder to all our Volunteers... Please remember, while volunteering, you can not bring other children into the school. This is a county policy and the school will enforce it.
